NEA 24-hour PSI (Singapore)
The Pollutant Standards Index: a 24-hour rolling index combining six pollutants. NEA uses it for health advice about the next day, rather than for deciding the next hour.
- Publisher
- National Environment Agency (NEA), Singapore
- What it measures
- PSI by region plus sub-indices for PM2.5, PM10, SO₂, O₃, CO and NO₂. Bands: Good 0–50, Moderate 51–100, Unhealthy 101–200, Very unhealthy 201–300, Hazardous above 300.
- Update frequency
- Hourly, but each value is a 24-hour rolling figure, so it changes slowly.
- Coverage
- Singapore only (five regions).
- How we use it
- Shown beside the 1-hour PM2.5 and used for NEA's 'planning tomorrow' guidance table.
- Limitations
- Because it averages 24 hours it lags real conditions. After a sharp improvement the PSI can stay 'unhealthy' for many hours.
